Cheng Man-Ching

Tai Chi Chuan is a system of exercise developed in ancient China that offers a physical practice for improved health, self-defense, and inner calm.

Our Tai Chi school in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, was established by Ed Young, one of the two translators for Cheng Man-Ching. He was among the “six pillars” (the most senior and accomplished students) of the school. Our study group is the result of Ed’s effort to advance Cheng’s goal of spreading the skill and knowledge of Tai Chi. This remains the mission of the Hastings Tai Chi Study Group.
